Meanwhile, the thermal management industry faced mounting pressures from emerging applications, including data centers, electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, and green energy production.
The company’s goal was to double again by 2030 and again by 2035. But without alignment on what that future demanded, complacency threatened to stall momentum.

Our Journey
MileZero partnered with Thermal Co to build strategic alignment, urgency, and a roadmap connecting vision to action.
Together, we:
- Ran scenario planning workshop with the C-Suite team to explore four distinct futures for the thermal management industry—Deep Expertise specialization, Mega-Engineering integration, Smart Components democratization, and Digital Platform transformation.
- Led “Postcards from the Future” exercises where executives described what success looked like in 2035—and the bold choices required to get there.
- Connected possible futures to existing strategic pillars related to People, Sustainability, Innovation, Digital Excellence, and Operational Excellence.
- Built a bridge from long-term vision to immediate investment priorities, aligning short-term decisions with long-term transformation.

By the end of the workshop, Thermal Co’s leaders weren’t just aligned—they were energized.
